Three biscuit porcelain relief plaques by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Each has a wire attached to the reverse for hanging.
These pretty discs are castings of Bertel Thorvaldson’s “4 Seasons” reliefs (1836). Thorvaldsen (1770-1844), a Danish-Icelandic sculptor and influential representative of neoclassicism, was one of the most important exponents of the Danish golden age.
