A single handblown Murano sconce by Venini, Italy c. 1930s. The milky white body is complemented by a strip of criss-crossing lines known as the reticello technique.
Provenance: This sconce adorned the historic Grand Hotel Des Bains in Venezia, which was built in 1900 for wealthy travellers and inspired the novella Death in Venice by Thomas Mann. It is newly rewired to AUS standards and ready for installation.
